Kenashia Thompson, Programs Manager for the Women of Color in Engineering Collaborative (WCEC)
Through this role, Kenashia (she/her) oversees all programs for the WCEC, including the Inspiring Leaders Profiles Database, Webinar series, Resource Center, and Travel Stipend Program. As a proud southern belle, Kenashia finds joy in working with subject-matter experts to bolster their experiences and shift resources. Before joining SWE, Kenashia led grassroots organizing efforts to prevent and end homelessness for QTBIPOC youth across the country.
Kenashia earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Honors College at Winthrop University in South Carolina. She also earned a master’s degree in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Harvard University in Massachusetts, where she focused on Womanist ethics, Black Liberation, and Social Justice advocacy.
